The attention of all Project Officers of APSSAin the state are hereby
informed that Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is implementing several interventions for
the Children with Special Needs (CwSN) to bring them into education fold by
bringing positive attitudinal changes among the Teachers, Parents, Community
and Peer group. In this connection, it is informed to organize "World
Disabled Day" celebrations on 3rd December, 2017 in all the respective
mandals in their districts by organizing rallies, debate on need and importance
of Inclusive Education for CwSN with the involvement of Teachers, Parents,
Members of the community, Officials and Non-Officials. After completion of the
above activities, conduct a meeting and distribute the prizes to identified
CwSN and also awards to the best three (3) CwSN friendly schools in every mandaI.
To organize the above said celebrations at mandai level, utilize the budget as
per the AWP & B- 2017-18 under the intervention of "Organizing world
disabled day at mandal level" and to release an amount ofRs. 4000j-per
each mandal for 670 mandals in the state. Therefore, the Project Officers shall
take necessary steps to release the proposed amount to all the Mandai
Educational Officers and obtain the utilization certificates along with proper
documentation on "World Disabled Day" celebrations and submit the
same to the SPO by 12th December, 2017 without fail.
