ORDER:
Whereas, in the reference 1st cited, charges were framed against Sri K. Bala Sundaram, MEO, Buttaigudem, West Godavari Dist. for certain financial irregularities committed by him. In the ref. 2nd cited, Enquiry Officer has been appointed to conduct regular enquiry into the charges framed against the
individual.
2. And whereas, in the ref. 3rd cited, the enquiry officer has submitted his report.
3. And whereas, in the ref. 4th cited, enquiry report has been communicated to the individual for his representation, on the findings of the enquiry officer. Accordingly, in the ref. 5th cited, the individual has submitted his representation.
4. And whereas, in the ref. 6th cited, a show cause notice has been issued to the individual to show cause as to why the penalty of 5% cut in pension for a period of (5) years against him, under Rule 9 of A.P. Revised Pension Rules, 1980, besides recovery of an amount of Rs. 11,83,690/-. In the ref. 7th cited,
the individual has submitted his explanation.
5. And whereas, Govt., after careful examination of the matter, decided to impose the 5% cut in pension for a period of (5) years against Sri K. Balasundaram, MEO, Buttaigudem, Eluru, WG Dist. (now rtd.), besides recovery of misappropriated amount of Rs. 11,83,690/- from the pensionary benefits payable to him. Accordingly, the APPSC has been consulted for their concurrence n the matter. In the ref. 8th read above, the APPSC has agreed with the proposal.
6. Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under rule 9 of AP Revised Pension Rules, 1980, Govt. hereby impose the penalty of withholding of 5% pension for a period of (5) years against Sri K. Balasundaram, MEO (Rtd.), Buttaigudem, WG Dist. besides recovery of an amount of Rs. 11,83,690/- from the pensionary benefits payable to him, for the charges held proved.
7. The Commissioner School Education, AP shall take necessary action,
accordingly.
