Higher Education Department – APSCHE – Reduce the course duration of MCA program from three to two years from the AY 2020 - 21 – Orders – Issued

- In the circumstances reported by the Secy., APSCHE in the reference 2nd
read above and as per the Approval process Hand Book of AICTE, Govt. after
careful examination of the matter hereby reduce the course duration of MCA
program from three (3) to two (2) years from the Academic Year 2020-21. For
B.Sc/B.A./B.Com with mathematics background students shall pass the prerequisite
courses designed by the concerned Universities.
- The Vice Chancellors of all state Universities are requested to design the two
(2) year MCA course curriculum, Prerequisite courses for general B.Sc/B.A./B.Com
students with mathematics background and mode of conducting prerequisite
courses as per norms of AICTE.
- The Secretary, APSCHE shall coordinate all the State Universities and take
necessary action accordingly.
♦️MCA: ఏపీలో ఎంసీఏ కోర్సు వ్యవధి కాలాన్ని రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం కుదించింది.
🔰ఏపీలోని విద్యార్థులకు గుడ్న్యూస్. రాష్ట్ర ఉన్నత విద్యాశాఖ కీలక నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. ఏపీలో ఎంసీఏ కోర్సు వ్యవధి కాలాన్ని రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం కుదించింది. మాస్టర్ ఆఫ్ కంప్యూటర్ అప్లికేషన్స్(MCA) కోర్సు వ్యవధిని ఏడాది తగ్గిస్తూ కీలక నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. ప్రస్తుతం ఉన్న ఎంసీఏ మూడేళ్ల కోర్సును రెండు సంవత్సరాలుగా కుదిస్తూ ఉత్తర్వులు జారీ చేసింది. 2020-21 విద్యా సంవత్సరం నుంచి ఈ కొత్త విధానాన్ని అమలు చేయనున్నట్లు రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం ఉత్తర్వుల్లో పేర్కొంది.ఈ మేరకు ఉన్నత విద్యాశాఖ కార్యదర్శి సతీశ్ చంద్ర ఆదేశాలు జారీ చేశారు.
🔰గణితం చదివిన బ్యాచిలర్ ఆఫ్ సైన్స్, కామర్స్, ఆర్ట్స్ గ్రాడ్యుయేట్లకు ఎంసీఏ కోర్సును రెండేళ్లకు మాత్రమే పరిగణించాల్సిందిగా ఆదేశాల్లో పేర్కొన్నారు. వచ్చే ఏడాది నుంచి కొత్త కరిక్యులమ్ను అమలు చేయాల్సిందిగా విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలకూ ప్రభుత్వం ఆదేశాలిచ్చింది.
🔰కాగా.. గతంలో AICTE కూడా ఎంసీఏ కోర్సును రెండేళ్లకు తగ్గించిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే. ఇక నుంచి ఎంసీఏ మూడేళ్ల(6 సెమిస్టర్లు)కు బదులుగా రెండేళ్ల(4 సెమిస్టర్లు)లో పూర్తి చేస్తే పట్టా పొందవచ్చు. MCA కోర్సుకు ఆదరణ తగ్గిపోతుండటం వల్ల AICTE ఈ మేరకు నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. కాగా, ఎంసీఏ కోర్సు వ్యవధి కుదింపు ప్రతిపాదనకు గతేడాది యూజీసీ ఆమోదముద్ర వేసిన సంగతి విదితమే.
